About The Position

A well-established electrical contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations on commercial electrical construction projects in the Houston area. This person will serve as the primary on-site leader, managing field crews, coordinating schedules, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring electrical work is completed on time, within budget, and according to project specifications.

Requirements

5+ years of electrical field leadership experience as a Superintendent, General Foreman, Electrical Foreman, or similar role
Experience managing commercial electrical construction projects
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, specifications, and electrical schematics
Ability to lead field crews, coordinate with other trades, and keep projects moving efficiently
Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and local electrical/building codes
Experience with project documentation, schedules, manpower planning, and material coordination

Nice To Haves

OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, Journeyman Electrician, or Master Electrician credentials are preferred
Familiarity with tools such as Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project, or similar construction software is a plus

Responsibilities

Oversee daily electrical field operations across commercial construction projects
Supervise electrical crews, foremen, subcontractors, and site personnel
Coordinate project schedules with project managers, other trades, suppliers, and subcontractors
Ensure work is completed according to drawings, specifications, electrical codes, and company standards
Monitor manpower, material needs, equipment usage, and job site productivity
Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality control and resolve deficiencies
Lead safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies
Identify and troubleshoot jobsite issues, including design conflicts, material delays, or field coordination challenges
Communicate project progress, delays, and updates to project managers and stakeholders
Maintain daily reports, manpower logs, material usage records, and project documentation
Support project closeout, inspections, punch lists, as builts, and warranty documentation
