About The Position

Linde Inc. is seeking an Electrical Specialist for their Deer Park, TX location. This role involves identifying, developing, and implementing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for electrical systems and equipment across multiple facilities. The specialist will maintain and troubleshoot industrial electrical distribution systems, including substations, breakers, switchgear, motor control centers, protective relay systems, battery and uninterruptible power systems, and transformers up to 138kV. Responsibilities also include handling large motors, planning and executing maintenance work, performing predictive maintenance activities like infrared thermography and oil analysis, and working independently in office and field environments. The role requires making sound technical decisions, accessing elevated equipment, traveling domestically approximately 20%, and being available during off-hours.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology or at least five years of experience maintaining medium voltage electrical systems and equipment in an industrial environment.
  • Hands-on experience as a field service engineer, representative, technician, electrician, power distribution technician, or project manager supporting industrial electrical maintenance.
  • Deep knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methods for industrial electrical systems and equipment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly while collaborating effectively with teams.
  • Manage multiple tasks with discipline.
  • Achieve results with minimal supervision.
  • Utilize computers and standard software packages such as Microsoft Office with confidence.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or electrical technology.
  • Two years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician in an industrial environment.
  • Proven capability in installation, troubleshooting, and repair of medium voltage electrical systems and equipment.
  • Knowledgeable of regulatory and industrial standards, codes, control and instrumentation systems.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management System tools such as Infor Enterprise Asset Management.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and implement preventive and predictive programs, as well as corrective maintenance solutions, for electrical systems and equipment across multiple facilities.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot industrial electrical distribution systems and equipment, including substations, breakers, switchgear, motor control centers, protective relay systems, battery and uninterruptible power systems, and transformers up to one hundred thirty-eight kilovolts.
  • Handle induction and synchronous motors up to forty thousand horsepower and fifteen thousand volts with precision, safety, and disciplined procedures.
  • Deliver effective preventive and corrective maintenance by planning, scheduling, coordinating, leading, and executing work in accordance with established standards.
  • Engage in predictive maintenance activities such as infrared thermography, transformer oil analysis, partial discharge analysis, and power quality analysis to guarantee reliability.
  • Work independently in both office and field environments, making sound technical decisions, accessing elevated equipment in all weather conditions, traveling domestically approximately twenty percent, and being available during off-hours.
