About The Position

The Signal Engineer supports the design, development, testing, and implementation of railway signaling systems. The role involves preparing engineering designs, coordinating detailed plans, and ensuring systems meet safety, regulatory, and industry standards. The position may include both office-based design work and field support activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Approximately 0-2 years of relevant experience in signal system design, installation, construction, or testing
  • Knowledge of signaling concepts, principles, and applicable industry standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documents
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of signal systems in accordance with client requirements and industry standards
  • Prepare and review signal design documents, specifications, and plans
  • Support the design of track circuits, interlocking systems, grade crossings, and related signal infrastructure
  • Perform inspections and testing of signal systems, equipment, and materials
  • Assist with installation, troubleshooting, and repair of signal equipment
  • Support project teams during commissioning and validation activities
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation, drawings, and reports
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, company standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on proposals and ongoing projects
