About The Position

Christman Facility Solutions, LLC is seeking an Electrical Service Technician to join their Dallas, Texas region team. This role involves assisting the Electrical Foreman with various project duties, installing quality products according to plans, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations. The company is a national, employee-owned construction firm founded in 1894, offering construction management, general contracting, and design-build services across multiple market sectors.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Four (4+) or more years of commercial electrical experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Current State issued Journeyman Electrical License
  • Ability to read and write
  • Ability to interpret and understand blue-prints, schematics, and labels.
  • Working knowledge of codes and local ordinances.
  • Qualified to operate trenchers and aerial man lifts.
  • Experience with power tools, saws, drills, knockout punches, wire tuggers, pipe benders, cable cutters.
  • Able to operate (2) handed tools.
  • Must maintain a current state-issued Journeyman Electrical License.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • First-Aid/CPR with AED
  • OSHA-10 certification

Responsibilities

  • Assists Electrical Foreman with layout and pre-planning duties, including the procurement of materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Installs a quality product according to plans and specifications.
  • Assists Electrical Foreman with the completion and submission of all required paperwork, including timesheets, requests for material, as-builds, daily logs, and pre-task forms.
  • Supports the Electrical Foreman in the preparation and submission of various requests for shutdowns, energized work, lockout tag-outs, and facility work permits.
  • Facilitates the scheduling of city inspections and attends walk-thru’s of job sites with authorities having jurisdiction and company management.
  • Demonstrates proper use and care of tools and equipment and maintains company issued tools and PPE in good working order.
  • Returns damaged tools for repair or replacement and keeps secure against theft or loss.
  • Follows all Christman policies and procedures; ensures compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Keeps immediate working area clean.
  • Follows material procedures.
  • Identifies and reports safety hazards and takes necessary corrective action.
  • Possesses a working knowledge and understanding of phase conductors, conduit fill, conductor ampacity / de-rating, and voltage drop calculations.
  • Works on or in proximity to energized electrical parts or circuit conductors with necessary approvals and permits.
  • Demonstrates safe working practices and complies with all safety requirements.
