The Electrical Service Technician – Commercial (2nd Shift) is a full‑time role covering Covington and job sites within roughly 90 miles. The technician handles on‑site maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and new installations for commercial customers—primarily K‑12 schools and county government facilities. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, interpreting electrical drawings, and completing detailed service documentation. The role requires strong communication skills, as technicians interact directly with customers and coordinate with supervisors to schedule work and support project timelines. This position is primarily 2nd shift, with additional pay incentives for evening work. Candidates with an acceptable MVR receive a company‑provided service vehicle that can be taken home daily.

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years of verifiable experience in the industry
  • Strong commercial electrical maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience performing field service work, inspections, and service documentation
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers
  • Valid electrician license or certification as required in Georgia; solid knowledge of NEC and local codes
  • Safe operation of tools, test equipment, and materials in compliance with OSHA standards
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to work across Covington and surrounding areas
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong time management, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or with a team
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
