About The Position

The Electrical Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for designing power systems for industrial, public, and commercial applications. This role involves preparing various technical drawings, performing complex calculations, coordinating with external representatives, and conducting power system studies. Additionally, the engineer will be involved in programming and troubleshooting PLCs and HMIs, designing network infrastructure for SCADA systems, and commissioning field instruments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electronics engineering or closely related (foreign equivalent)
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • 1 year experience in Schneider Electric M580 PLC system
  • 1 year experience in Unity Pro
  • 1 year experience in EcoStrucxure Software
  • 1 year experience in Rockwell ControlLogix
  • 1 year experience in CompactLogix PLC
  • 1 year experience in Studio 500 Logix Designer software
  • 1 year experience in SCADA software

Responsibilities

  • Prepares one-line drawings, equipment layout, schematics, and hazardous area classification drawings for projects.
  • Reviews approval drawings, quotes, schedules, specification writing, and equipment selection.
  • Performs conduit, cable tray, pull box sizing calculations, cable sizing, and voltage drop calculations.
  • Coordinates with representatives of clients, vendors, material suppliers, and contractors to obtain information and guidance and make appropriate equipment selections.
  • Performs power system studies such as Short Circuit Analysis, Coordination Studies and Arc Flash Analysis.
  • Designs power systems for industrial, public, and commercial applications using Switchboards, Motor control centers, switchgear, relays, transformers, enclosures, power cables, cable terminations, insulators, surge protection devices, reactive power compensation devices, etc., UPS sizing, electrical panel heat calculations, and lightning calculations based on the NFPA 780.
  • Programs and troubleshoots Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), including ladder logic, function block, and structured text routines.
  • Programs and troubleshoots Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), including communication drivers, graphic object development, data historization, alarm management, trending, and reporting.
  • Prepares control narratives, processes control descriptions, technical specifications, and design drawings.
  • Designs, programs, and implements network infrastructure for SCADA systems, HMI Servers, virtualization services, network hardware, and fieldbus networks.
  • Designs, programs, and implements fieldbus network protocols (HART, Modbus, Profibus, Foundation Fieldbus, OPC).
  • Commissions field instruments like E300 starters, VFDs, pressure transmitters, pressure switches, flow switches, flow meters, level transmitters, and float switches.
