About The Position

Evergreen Innovation Group, part of DPR Family of Companies, is seeking an Electrical Safety Manager. This role involves implementing EIG's environmental health and safety plan (EHSP) and related programs at assigned construction projects. The Safety Manager will collaborate with the project management team and subcontractors to identify and mitigate potential hazards, ensuring compliance with the EHSP through behavior-based safety techniques. Responsibilities include leading and fostering an injury-free culture, managing pre-qualification processes, analyzing safety data, developing safety programs and site-specific plans, conducting jobsite safety audits, monitoring subcontractor adherence to safety guidelines, and managing administrative safety documentation.

Requirements

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Effective interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • A strong work ethic and a “can-do,” “let’s find a solution” attitude.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience on construction sites.
  • OSHA 500 training.
  • Competent person, train-the-trainer, and other activity specific certifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in safety management or CHST certification a plus.
  • Manufacturing / data center / hi-rise experience a plus.
  • Carpenter or laborer union affiliation okay.

Responsibilities

  • Shepherd and develop career paths for Safety Coordinator(s).
  • Coach EIG team members on safety leadership and management practices.
  • Lead and live EIG’s injury-free environment culture.
  • Lead pre-qualification processes for EIG.
  • Provide trending analysis for project / regional data on a weekly, monthly and/or quarterly basis.
  • Foster the development of safety programs and protocols.
  • Develop and blend site-specific safety plan(s) that incorporates both EIG's and our core market customers’ safe work practices.
  • Assist with the continual development of new methods for abating hazards.
  • Perform regular jobsite safety audits of worksite activities.
  • Share findings, corrective actions and corrective plans with DPR project management.
  • Utilize every resource necessary, including escalation, to ensure the maintenance of an injury-free environment.
  • Help monitor the subcontractor selection process and adherence to established environmental safety and health guidelines.
  • Measure team engagement regarding safety management practices.
  • Maintain regional safety files such as safety training documentation, applicable medical certifications, environmental testing and special associated training, investigation reports including close calls, injury summaries, leading indicator data and other safety and health documentation.
