About The Position

Quality Control inspection and associated documentation of Electrical systems within a cleanroom environment. This role involves coordinating compliance with codes and regulations, interfacing with clients, and reviewing designs to mitigate construction roadblocks. The position requires inspecting various electrical system installations and ensuring subcontractor inspector qualifications. Participation in turnover package documentation and representing the company in project meetings are also key aspects of this role. The individual will formulate reports on work progress, costs, scheduling, inspections, and system tests, and complete all necessary QA documentation.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years verifiable electrical experience within a construction field.
  • Journeyman Electrician or Master Electrician required.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (IEEE, NEMA, NFPA, NETA).
  • Computer skills required: MS Office, Bluebeam, PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment, including protective eye wear, hard hat, lab coat, gloves, steel-toed shoes, and hearing protection.
  • Must be able to safely access and traverse indoor and outdoor obstacles for site inspections, including climbing ladders, walking on stairs, catwalks, and other types of uneven surfaces where activity inspections are needed.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate compliance of federal, state, and local codes and regulations.
  • Interface with client and act as the eyes and ears for electrical construction work across multiple buildings.
  • Mitigate roadblocks to construction progress via design review.
  • Inspect all electrical system installations including high voltage, medium voltage, low voltage, LSS, I&C, and power distribution.
  • Upload reports of all inspections to the project EIDA electronic documentation system.
  • Verify that all inspectors under subcontractors are qualified to perform their tasks according to project specifications.
  • Participate in turnover package documentation.
  • Represent MSR-FSR in project meetings and attend strategy meetings.
  • Formulate reports concerning areas such as work progress, costs, scheduling, inspections, and system tests.
  • Complete all QA documentation as needed for the project.
