About The Position

SWECS is seeking experienced Electrical QA/QC Technicians to support the quality program on a major industrial construction project in Childress, Texas. Working under the direction of the QA/QC Manager, you will perform hands-on inspections, testing, and documentation of electrical installations to ensure full compliance with project specifications, NEC, client requirements, and SWECS quality standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of electrical construction experience on industrial, power, or heavy commercial projects
  • At least 3 years of direct electrical QA/QC inspection experience
  • Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and typical industrial electrical specifications
  • Proficient with inspection tools (multimeter, megger, torque wrenches, etc.)
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, single lines, and installation details
  • Experience using Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, or similar construction software
  • Excellent attention to detail and written documentation skills
  • Must be willing to work 72-84 hours per week on-site in Childress, TX
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass drug screen and background check

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications a plus (NICET Level II/III Electrical, ICC Electrical Inspector, OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, etc.)
  • Industrial construction: 5 years (Preferred)
  • QA/QC: 3 years (Preferred)
  • OSHA 30 (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inspections and testing of electrical installations including conduit, cable tray, cabling, terminations, grounding systems, switchgear, MCCs, transformers, lighting, and fire alarm systems
  • Verify materials and equipment match approved submittals
  • Complete detailed inspection checklists and reports in Procore or similar software
  • Identify and document non-conformances (NCRs) and assist in corrective actions
  • Witness and document electrical testing (megger, hi-pot, continuity, Fall-if-Potential, etc.)
  • Maintain organized quality records and photo documentation
  • Support turnover package development and final walk-downs
  • Participate in safety and quality meetings as required
