About The Position

Miller Electric is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to join their team. This role involves meaningful project work, opportunities for growth, and a strong benefits package. The Project Manager will report to the Director and VP, acting in a client-facing capacity and building relationships both internally and externally. Development will occur through hands-on experience, peer collaboration, and ongoing technical training.

Requirements

  • A College degree, journeyman’s license, or master electrician’s license
  • Understanding of electrical installations
  • Strong computer skills - Specifically in Microsoft 365
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in dealing with industrial construction/contracting
  • Electrical contracting assistant project management experience
  • Familiar with computer-based estimating
  • Familiar with COINS (ERP Software)
  • Knowledge of billing and collections

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to all company, client, and project policies/procedures.
  • Generate estimates, prepare and review project proposals or plans to determine timeframes, work plans, funding limitations, procedures, staffing requirements, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee projects through administrative direction of on-site supervision to ensure they are built according to design, budget, and schedule, including interfacing with customers to validate expectations.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage activities of company personnel and subcontractors on assigned projects.
  • Generate billings and lead the collections process for projects.
  • Conduct frequent project visits with field supervision and personnel to understand progress, needs, and issues, and assist in planning future labor/material needs.
  • Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials by working with vendors.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients and employees by meeting expectations and offering innovative solutions.
  • Provide consistent feedback and reports to the business unit vice president.
  • Manage the project review process, focusing on financial forecasting.
  • Provide advice, guidance, mentoring, and direction to subordinates and junior personnel.
  • Continuously expand and update professional knowledge and skills to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity.
  • Ensure job site safety and adherence to company policies and national safety standards for supervised personnel.
  • Support and participate in company-sponsored initiatives and activities.
