About The Position

Greenwood Heating and Home Services is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to join their team. This role requires a Journeyman License (02 or higher) and a commitment to customer care and employee support. The ideal candidate is driven, open-minded, and interested in more than just field work, including training future electricians, problem-solving, and educating customers about their electrical systems. The position is full-time, non-exempt hourly, with business hours from 7 am to 6 pm. Working hours may exceed 8 hours a day and 40 hours per week during peak seasons. The compensation plan, including a quarterly bonus and hourly wage, will be discussed during the interview. The role is performed on the road in the greater Seattle area, covering North: Everett Area, South: Federal Way Area, and East: North Bend. The primary base is the Tukwila location, with occasional travel to the Everett location.

Requirements

Journeyman License (02 or higher) is required.
Understanding and follow through in Greenwood’s Core Values and Mission Statement.
Confident and professional communication skills via phone and face to face interaction with homeowners and team members.
Experience with and able to navigate mobile devices (Apple products) with the ability to learn new software.
Attention to detail when debriefing office or homeowner about your findings in the field.
Service oriented and ability to interact with all customer service scenarios (positive and negative).
Ability to empathize and work through challenging problem-solving situations.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Must be able to be on your feet / knees for extended periods of time.
Must be able to work in crawl spaces and attics for periods of time.
Must be able to work on ladders and drive a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

Work with field team and office team to ensure completion of electrical jobs up to Greenwood standards as well as Washington State and NEC code.
Assist with ordering material for jobs, training electricians, job site lay out visits, and other various tasks.
Engage in client discussions professionally and politely to uncover their needs and works with their team leaders to address issues if beyond knowledge base.
Work with Electrical Manager to ensure proper permits, load calculations, and clean work is being performed.
Oversee technicians on job sites, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to company standards.
Perform quality control inspections to confirm adherence to electrical codes and best practices.
Provide on-the-spot troubleshooting and guidance for complex or urgent issues.
Act as a mentor for technicians, offering field training and skill development as needed.
Handle smaller administrative and operational tasks, such as reviewing work orders, updating schedules, and preparing field reports.
Respond to customer questions or concerns during active jobs to enhance satisfaction and address issues promptly.
Provide status updates to the Electrical Manager and recommend solutions for recurring challenges.
Work closely with the HVAC and plumbing teams on multi-service projects to ensure coordination and timely completion.
Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and accountability in the field.
Lead by example, fostering teamwork and maintaining high morale among field staff.
