About The Position

Southern Industrial, a leading provider of rigging services, turn-key industrial construction, and plant maintenance services in the Southeast, is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrical Project Manager for its Atlanta, GA office. The role requires heavy industrial electrical experience, particularly in low voltage and data centers, and involves frequent travel to job sites. Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing, power, or chemical markets managing projects up to $1M with high complexity.
  • 2-5 years of client relationship and business development experience, including leading bid preparation and development.
  • Demonstrated success in team leadership, process adherence, ownership/commitment, learning agility, and risk management.
  • Strategic thinker capable of establishing and managing plans while building and fostering relationships.
  • Knowledge of safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations.
  • Proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and project management scheduling software.
  • Previous electrical industrial construction experience.
  • Heavy industrial electrical experience in low voltage and data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes and strengthens core values and culture through everyday actions.
  • Collaborates with clients, other Project Management staff, and supervision to plan, develop, and oversee site projects, establish priorities, and assign resources.
  • Manages all aspects of cost control, including estimating, funding, budgeting, forecasting, controlling, and reporting.
  • Utilizes knowledge of project scheduling, bids, take-offs, change orders, and contracts to manage scope changes, address issues, and communicate project milestones.
  • Develops relationships to identify and cultivate new opportunities.
  • Plans and schedules resources to meet project demands.
  • Develops new approaches to problems and modifies drawings, specifications, calculations, charts, and graphs.
  • Monitors work for compliance with applicable codes and accepted engineering practices.
  • Ensures equipment, tools, and employees operate in accordance with company policy, government regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Monitors the execution of the safety program and the performance of work by internal staff and external vendors.
  • Provides regular project status updates to Senior Management.
  • Travels to jobsites regularly to oversee projects.
