About The Position

P&G is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer for its Albany Plant, which manufactures Bounty and Charmin products. The Albany Plant is a critical site in the supply chain, with over 650 employees. The Electrical Project Engineer will join the Site Engineering team, focusing on capital projects related to facilities, construction, utilities, and site-wide initiatives. This role involves managing and executing project activities, ranging from smaller projects to full ownership of larger ones, with budgets from $100K to $10 million. The successful candidate will help increase plant output and will have high engagement, visibility, and ownership, leveraging project management and technical experience to deliver results.

Requirements

  • 0-5 years of relevant project engineering experience
  • BS or MS in an Electrical Engineering, an electrically related technical degree, or relevant electrical experience (including military service)
  • Demonstrated portfolio and project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Financial and budget management experience
  • Multi-functional team leadership experience
  • Demonstrated technical mastery, leadership, & collaboration skills
  • Understanding of NEC (National Electric Code)
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
  • Understanding of basic electrical safety (energy isolation, protective devices, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior manufacturing industry experience
  • Project manager certifications like CAPM, PMP, etc
  • Prior electrical engineering experience including familiarity with facilities electrical distribution systems, PLCs, drives, operator interfaces, and network architectures.
  • Previous electrical training & qualifications (electrical license)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver projects as a mid-level individual contributor.
  • Manage strategic projects across site, region, and business unit stakeholders.
  • Create front end technical base plans.
  • Partner with a central project delivery team based in Cincinnati.
  • Prepare project timelines inclusive of key project milestones, providing transparency to the project team(s) and communicating with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage risks and define resolution strategies while creating clarity in ambiguous situations.
  • Develop new processes and routines for increased visibility and accountability.
  • Report on project progress and communicate relevant information to manager & leadership.
  • Develop a deep understanding of site electrical systems including site specific facilities electrical distribution systems, PLCs, drives, operator interfaces, and network architectures.
  • Lead critical troubleshooting, defect handling, and loss elimination efforts for the site.
