About The Position

The Electrical Project Engineer will work with Estimators and/or Project Managers to prepare various project documentation including Request for Proposal (RFP) packages, Request for Information (RFI), submittal packages, equipment orders, and Change Order Requests (COR) and Change Orders. This role involves logging and tracking the status of all these items throughout the bid and construction phases of a project. The ideal candidate will have a professional appearance, good communication and organizational skills, a clean criminal background and credit history, and be a self-motivated individual. Candidates must also pass a drug screening and background check.

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required
• 3-5 years of experience in construction industry, electrical preferred (with references)

Responsibilities

• Work with Estimators and/or Project Managers to prepare Request for Proposal (RFP) package(s) during the preparation of a Bid
• Qualify and log each proposal as it is received, per Bid
• Work with Estimator and/or Project Managers to prepare Request for Information (RFI) during the preparation of a Bid or construction of a project
• Log and track status of RFI’s, per Bid or Project
• Work with Estimators and/or Project Managers to prepare submittal packages cross referenced to specific specification sections, drawing sheets, etc.
• Log and track status of submittals, per Project
• Work with Estimators and/or Project Managers to process equipment orders
• Log and track status of orders, per Project
• Work with Estimators and/or Project Managers to process Change Order Requests (COR) and Change Orders
• Log and track status, per Project
