The Project Engineer position is responsible for assisting in the management of projects from start-up to closeout under the direction of a Project Manager. This role involves a variety of tasks including managing the bid turnover and project startup process, reviewing blueprints and specifications, coordinating material procurement, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and laws. The position also requires maintaining documentation, handling material requisitions, submittals, purchase orders, and change orders. Additionally, the Project Engineer will assist in writing quotations and project proposals, estimating projects, reviewing contracts, and setting up projects in relevant software. A key aspect of the role is maintaining positive relationships with vendors and clients, and coordinating the project team, including field supervision and support staff, under the guidance of the Senior Project Manager. The role also involves monitoring project planning, execution, closure, quality control, and maintaining project management files and drawing sets. The Project Engineer will develop and track Requests for Information (RFIs), research and collate Submittals and Operations & Maintenance manual materials, and actively utilize project management software for documentation and issue resolution. Collaboration with Production and Field teams, as well as assisting with job billing preparation, are also integral parts of the position. The Project Engineer will also track correspondence and assist Project Managers with additional tasks as needed.
