This role offers the opportunity to function as a technical lead substation design engineer for FACTS projects involving distribution, sub-transmission, and transmission level voltage classes. The engineer will utilize resources for safety and regulatory standards (IEEE, IEC, NEC, NESC, NERC, ISO/RTO) to define project requirements, review project deliverables, and collaborate with owner and OEM resources. The role also involves working on non-standard design aspects for substation engineers, requiring research into white papers, brochures, publications, or standards. The engineer will convey technical information to the project team and lead internal discussions with the owner engineering team to resolve technical or project management topics.
