JMT is looking for a degreed electrical engineer to join a fast-paced, quality-driven team within a growing organization. This role involves working alongside senior engineering staff from the initial conceptual electrical design through the construction and commissioning phases of both large and small facility projects. The Electrical Engineer will have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse and experienced staff to solve complex problems, such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitable conventional materials, and difficult coordination challenges, all while benefiting from a robust quality control process. Typical work assignments focus on facility engineering and design projects of various scales within industries such as education, public works, water/wastewater, transportation, transit, healthcare, and aviation. JMT is seeking candidates with broad design and engineering experience in building electrical systems, including lighting, power and emergency power distribution, fire alarm systems, security, CCTV and access control, and communication systems.

Requirements

  • Degreed electrical engineer
  • Experience with building electrical systems including lighting systems, power and emergency power distribution systems; fire alarm systems; security; CCTV and access control; and communication systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform design computations
  • Design projects in accordance with client specifications and guidelines, using design software and drawing tools
  • Develop construction cost estimates
  • Prepare and compile contract plans, specifications and estimates
  • Attend meetings with clients
  • Coordinate with internal team members to ensure project completion by the defined deadline and established quality
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
