About The Position

The Electrical Project Engineer will be responsible for the design and detailing of industrial controls systems, including both hardware and software. This role involves generating design drawings, bills of equipment, PLC/controller code, and graphic user interface code. The engineer will follow through designs from fabrication and testing to on-site startup and debugging. Key responsibilities include maintaining transmittal records, document control, and interfacing with customers to establish design goals and specify equipment. The position requires approximately 30% travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • 3 years of position related experience
  • Experience with electrical engineering design for industrial controls and panels
  • Able to interpret NEC and local codes
  • Familiar with PLC programming, graphic user interface programming, computer operating systems and networking
  • Familiar with instrumentation and process control
  • Familiar with Robotic cell designs
  • Familiar with Hazardous area classifications
  • Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to understand project schedules
  • Good time management skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work well independently and in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus
