About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Production Technician to join our team and contribute to the production of high-quality, safe battery systems for marine applications. The Electrical Production Technician will be responsible for the assembly, testing and support of electrical and battery system components within a production environment. The role involves hands-on manufacturing tasks, quality checks, fault-finding, and collaboration with engineering, test and quality teams to ensure products meet design and safety requirements for marine use.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, plus relevant vocational or technical certification or an Associate’s degree in Electronics or Electrical Technology or equivalent experience in electrical assembly.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical assembly, manufacturing or related roles.
Competent with hand tools, soldering, crimping tools, cable management and basic test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope).
Demonstrated ability to follow drawings, work instructions and inspection criteria with high attention to detail.
Strong fault-finding skills and the ability to work with engineering to implement corrective measures.
Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across production, test and engineering teams.
Understanding of electrical safety, PPE and safe handling of batteries and high-voltage components.
Basic computer literacy for recording test data and using production documentation systems.

Nice To Haves

experience with battery systems, power electronics or wiring harness assembly is desirable.
familiarity with IPC soldering standards advantageous.

Responsibilities

Build electrical subassemblies, modules and complete battery units following engineering drawings, work instructions and safety procedures.
Prepare and terminate cables, assemble wiring looms, and perform connectorisation to specified standards.
Execute electrical and functional tests using test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, battery test rigs) and record results in test documentation.
Carry out visual and electrical inspections, soldering and mechanical checks to ensure components and assemblies meet quality criteria.
Diagnose and rectify manufacturing faults, liaise with engineering to resolve recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
Follow and contribute to the development of assembly procedures, test protocols and quality control processes to meet industry and company standards.
Maintain accurate build records, test reports and non-conformance documentation in accordance with quality systems.
Work safely within the production environment, adhere to electrical safety rules, risk assessments and safe working practices.
Suggest and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, yield and product reliability.
