About The Position

We are looking for an Electrical Panel Technician II to support our Primex brand. This role will work out of our Largo, FL location. Our Primex brand is a leading provider of control solutions for the municipal and wastewater industries, offering pump control panels, full-featured web-hosted SCADA solutions, and highly complex system integration projects. As our Electrical Panel Technician II, you will fabricate, assemble, and wire electrical control panels using electrical engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions, and production documentation. You will perform panel layouts and enclosure modifications, install and wire components such as soft starters, circuit breakers and interlocks, relays, pilot lights, operators, and other industrial control components, and ensure completed assemblies meet quality and production standards. You will regularly use fabrication and assembly tools including drills and taps, jigsaws, band saws, belt sanders, cable cutters, torque wrenches, wire strippers, squares, and tape measures. You will also maintain accurate production documentation and work with other team members to identify and resolve drawing, component, or build issues throughout the production process.

Requirements

  • Experience interpreting and following electrical engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions, and production documentation.
  • Hands-on experience wiring control panels containing components such as soft starters, breakers and interlocks, relays, pilot lights, operators, and related electrical control components.
  • Experience using fabrication and assembly tools including drills and taps, jigsaws, band saws, belt sanders, cable cutters, torque wrenches, wire strippers, squares, and tape measures.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately measure, lay out, fabricate, assemble, and wire panel components.
  • Ability to recognize and communicate discrepancies involving drawings, components, or panel assemblies.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to team production goals.
  • Three to five years of experience building, wiring, fabricating, or assembling electrical control panels required.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly use fabrication and assembly tools including drills and taps, jigsaws, band saws, belt sanders, cable cutters, torque wrenches, wire strippers, squares, and tape measures.
  • Maintain accurate production documentation.
  • Work with other team members to identify and resolve drawing, component, or build issues throughout the production process.
