About The Position

Columbia Tech is seeking an experienced Electrical Panel Assembler II to join their team. This role involves assembling products according to specifications, communicating effectively with team members, and working collaboratively in a team environment. The assembler will be responsible for wiring electrical panels and boxes, integrating sub-assemblies, and working with various documentation including drawings and schematics. The position also involves co-building with customers and transferring knowledge to other assemblers, working independently or in groups, and collaborating with Engineering and Quality Control.

Requirements

  • Experience assembling, terminating, and wiring electrical panels and electrical boxes.
  • Proficiency in working with written instructions, mechanical drawings, bills of materials, wire run lists and electrical schematics.
  • Experience performing point to point wiring on electrical panels and power distribution electrical boxes.
  • Ability to use company supplied hand tools, such as crimpers and wire strippers.
  • Experience integrating sub-assemblies, electrical panels, chassis, power supplies and connecting cables.
  • Ability to perform co-builds with customers and/or project teams with limited support.
  • Ability to learn new product builds and transfer knowledge to other assemblers.
  • Ability to work independently and with groups ranging from 2-8 people.
  • Ability to work with Engineering and Quality Control relating to assembly requirements, workmanship standards and customer product specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble products per assembly process specifications.
  • Effectively communicate with team members, both verbally and in writing.
  • Work in a team environment with a positive attitude and support the success of the team.
  • Assemble, terminate, and wire electrical panels and electrical boxes using the specified tooling and approved workmanship standards, including complete installation into enclosures.
  • Work with written instructions, mechanical drawings, bills of materials, wire run lists and electrical schematics.
  • Perform point to point wiring on a variety of electrical panels and power distribution electrical boxes; using company supplied hand tools, such as crimpers and wire strippers.
  • Integrate sub-assemblies, electrical panels, chassis, power supplies and connecting cables.
  • Perform co-builds with customers and/or project teams with limited support to learn new product builds and transfer knowledge to other assemblers.
