About The Position
Utz Quality Foods is hiring experienced Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technicians for their 103 Kindig Lane Facility in Hanover, PA. This is a critical, full-time role supporting automated conveyor systems and high-speed packaging equipment, with a focus on troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance. The role has a required shift of Monday to Thursday 5:50 AM - 5:50 PM. Utz Quality Foods is offering a competitive sign-on and retention bonus.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance (electrical and mechanical)
- Experience working with automated conveyor systems or warehouse distribution technology
- Skilled in diagnosing issues with sensors, relays, VFDs, and control panels
- Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs and working at heights up to 30 feet
- Strong troubleshooting mindset and attention to detail
Nice To Haves
- Experience in food manufacturing or packaging is a plus
Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting and repairing advanced conveyor belt systems and automated material handling equipment
- Working with PLC systems, motor controls, DC/AC drives, and sensor-based automation
- Installing, wiring, and maintaining electrical components like relays, motors, and panels
- Performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and keep things running smoothly
- Reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams with accuracy
- Installing conduit, EMT, and sealtite independently to support system upgrades and expansions
