About The Position

Must possess a high level of skill and proficiency in maintenance and repair of plant production equipment as well as maintaining plant electrical system with some installation work. Perform a wide variety of system maintenance requiring the knowledge and application of mechanics, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, machining and welding. Duties to include but not limited to installation, set up programming, trouble shooting and repair of machinery, instruments, controls and related equipment. Individual will demonstrate advanced electrical trouble shooting skills, a through working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and the ability to install and maintain electrical systems. Work from sketches, equipment manuals, basic designs, specifications and verbal instructions. Continue to keep abreast of new developments through study, schooling, etc. as necessary. Follow all OSHA and company safety regulations. Assist other maintenance personnel as well. Will assist in training when needed. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High level of skill and proficiency in maintenance and repair of plant production equipment.
  • Proficiency in maintaining plant electrical system with some installation work.
  • Knowledge and application of mechanics, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, machining and welding.
  • Advanced electrical trouble shooting skills.
  • Thorough working knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Knowledge of computer operation and related software.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Operate fork lift truck (will be licensed in accordance with OSHA power industrial truck operator requirements.)
  • Trained in the National Electric Code.
