About The Position

This position involves working with mechanical, electronic, and electro-mechanical equipment at the sub-assembly or system level. Duties include testing, alignment, modification, repair, assembly, refurbishing, and troubleshooting. The assembler ensures the accuracy and quality of the end product or sub-component before it moves to the next stage. This role also involves installing and connecting electronic/electro-hydraulic or mechanical systems to test stands, interfacing with other components and test equipment, and performing precision, functional, and operational tests. The assembler will align and adjust equipment during complex tests to determine reliability and perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting at an assembly level to ensure compatibility with completed systems. The role operates under the supervision of a Team Leader and requires the use of a computerized time and attendance system for tasks such as clocking in/out and closing shop order sequences. This is a second shift position (Monday-Thursday, 4 PM - 2:30 AM) with an initial six-month training period on day shift (5:30 AM - 4 PM).

Ability to work second shift (Monday through Thursday from 4 PM to 2:30 AM).
Willingness to undergo up to six months of training on day-shift (5:30 AM to 4 PM) before moving to second shift.
Minimal instructions required; works under supervision of a Team Leader.
Ability to understand shop floor computerized time and attendance system.

Responsibilities

Test, alignment, modification, repair, assembly, refurbishing, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electronic, and electro-mechanical equipment.
Ensure accuracy and quality of end product or sub-component.
Install and connect electronic/electro-hydraulic or mechanical systems to test stands.
Interface with other related components and test equipment.
Perform precision, functional, and operational tests.
Align and adjust equipment during complex tests to determine reliability.
Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of equipment at an assembly level.
Close sequence in the computer system upon completion of a job.
Validate interim WIP operations for quality purposes.
Maintain and improve housekeeping standards in the work area.
Adhere to established safety rules and practices.
Understand and independently execute responsibilities within the shop floor computerized time and attendance system (e.g., clocking in/out, closing shop order sequences).
