About The Position

Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. (SEMP) is a leading provider of skilled trade services throughout California, headquartered in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Our Operations team is seeking a Material Handler to process incoming and outgoing commercial electrical and general construction materials. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in the commercial electrical wholesale supply chain or hands-on commercial construction installation experience, along with knowledge of a variety of commercial electrical materials.

Requirements

Minimum of two years of experience in a construction environment or with an electrical wholesale supplier
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly throughout the shift
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and motor vehicle background check
English literacy required for written communication via mobile devices, email, and Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

Recent experience in the commercial electrical wholesale supply chain
Hands-on commercial construction installation experience
Knowledge of a variety of commercial electrical materials

Responsibilities

Receive, store, and distribute construction materials, tools, equipment, and products
Verify and maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments
Perform physical labor to load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets using appropriate equipment
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
Perform inventory counts and replenish stock as needed
Deliver or retrieve materials using company vehicles as required
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and department guidelines
Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned to support departmental operations
