About The Position

SLB New Energy & Industrial (NEI) is a division of SLB, focusing on energy innovation. The Data Center infrastructure solutions business provides innovative and cost-effective solutions for building faster, smarter, and more resilient data centers. SLB is seeking a motivated SSTC Electrical Trainer to support this business. The trainer will ensure the shop floor workforce has the necessary skills and knowledge for efficient and safe operations. This role involves developing, delivering, and evaluating training programs for both new and existing personnel, collaborating with supervisors, quality assurance, and safety teams to maintain high standards.

Requirements

  • Excellent training skills; ability to adapt training method based on audience and learning type
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in topics being taught, or 5 years’ experience in training, teaching, or similar electrical experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a Journeyman with a Master Electrician
  • Engaging presenter, able to keep attention of trainees for extended periods of time
  • Hold a deep level of knowledge of function and process
  • Committed to making and communicating a positive change
  • Exhibit problem solving skills
  • Continuous process improvement mindset
  • Training experience (skilled in adult learning)
  • Deep understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC/NFPA 70), OSHA regulations, and NFPA 70E standards for electrical safety
  • Able to read Blueprints/Schematics
  • Proficient in wiring pulling, wiring termination, and bending conduit
  • Communication skills, Leadership influence, Problem Solving and Critical thinking skills
  • Authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Conduct classroom and hands-on training for new and existing shop floor employees on processes, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide hands-on training on the Production Floor.
  • Develop and update training materials, manuals, and visual aids to support learning and retention.
  • Monitor trainee progress and provide feedback to supervisors and management.
  • Ensure all training activities comply with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Review and integrate training feedback.
  • Support onboarding processes and cross-training initiatives to enhance workforce flexibility.
  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation for audits and compliance.
  • Ensure all training materials are available and are of the latest revision.
  • Conduct assessments on shop floor personnel to determine proficiency after training.
  • Check for competency of shop floor personnel when reassessment is needed based on competency expiration or request from Supervisor.
