Requirements

  • Associate degree in automation engineering technology, electrical/electronic technology, mechanical technology or related field.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of electrical maintenance experience preferred.
  • Deals effectively with all levels of company personnel.
  • Ability to work well with others and lead a cross functional team.
  • Sound and problematic decision making.
  • Strong communication skills and positive attitude.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a technical environment.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of plastic extrusion experience
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Previous manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

  • Electrical panel building.
  • Performing preventative maintenance and general repairs.
  • Performing special projects and other duties as directed by the Electrical Engineer.
  • Providing rotational on-call support (approximately 2 weeks in every 12 weeks).
  • Using Autodesk AutoCAD.
  • Measuring physical dimensions of machinery and creating drawings.
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
  • Installing, upgrading, modifying, and working on various types of electrical systems.
  • Provide preventive and predictive maintenance of electrical systems.
  • Perform repair or replacement on faulty electrical elements of equipment including motors, relays, and switches.
  • Identify when external contractor/vendor is needed, and work in collaboration with contractor/vendor to complete work.
  • Model, implement, and comply with electrical safety rules and related industry regulations.
  • Define and follow Standard Operating Procedures for repair of electrical systems.
  • Comply with all AIB and BRC Standards, Safety Standards, and Standard Operating Procedures.
