About The Position

Richardson’s food and ingredients division is part of its global agriculture and food business and operates a vertically integrated supply chain. At the Carrington, North Dakota durum milling and pasta production facility, which produces Dakota Growers pasta, the Electrical Maintenance Intern assists with electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and construction work in the plant.

Requirements

• Successfully completed at least two semesters of an accredited Industrial Electrical Associate Degree program.
• Able to perform the listed physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Able to work in a dusty environment and in confined spaces.
• Able to wear a respirator as required.
• Able to communicate and exchange ideas through spoken and written words and distinguish objects or equipment visually.

Nice To Haves

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience with MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining electrical systems according to NEC standards.
• Assist in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing plant systems and equipment according to government standards.
• Read mechanical and electrical blueprints.
• Perform basic electrical construction tasks.
• Identify machine parts and project materials needed to complete work.
• Document daily work in a log book.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
