About The Position

This opportunity is for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer (Experienced Professional) at Michelin's BF Goodrich Tire Plant (BFG4) in Woodburn, Indiana. Woodburn is a small town located about 30 minutes east of Fort Wayne, IN, which is the cultural and economic center of northeastern Indiana. Established in 1961, the plant specializes in building passenger and light truck tires. The role involves providing Electrical technical support for maintaining machines and equipment within the area of responsibility, working closely with methods and reliability teams, breakdown engineers, and maintenance crews. Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact in a professional manner with external partners, suppliers, customers, and colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong teamwork, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office® Suite and ability to become proficient in internal software systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to use software systems for data mining and data analysis.
  • Experience in CAD software (Solid Works, Solid Edge, AutoCAD).
  • Previous utilization of CMMS system for maintenance planning and scheduling.
  • Attention to detail, data accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that maintenance work is performed in compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Optimize maintenance plans in terms of frequency, quality, and time spent.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of machine interventions to prevent breakdowns, make sure that spare parts are available and keep production online.
  • Improve rate and duration of breakdowns and preventative stop times and help improve cycle time rate consistent with the objectives of the shop and each machine.
  • Confirm efficiency of machine interventions, as to resources used, consumption of spare parts, and sustained energy efficiency of equipment.
  • Support the shop’s day-to-day operations.
  • Application of Total Process Control (MTP) standards by maintenance respected, especially concerning locks and unlocking procedures.
  • Analyze and provide information about the life of equipment, especially as to reliability, quality and efficiency.
  • Become a technical expert of equipment with the ability to coach troubleshooters and maintainers’ scheduled work, including training on technical interventions, ensuring the application of maintenance methods, promoting the use of standard problem solving, maintaining the conformity of the equipment, and updating technical drawings and information.
