About The Position
OZZ Electric BC is an industry leading contractor working on exciting high-rise residential and commercial projects across the lower mainland. We are expanding to Nanaimo and are looking for people to join us on Vancouver Island. You will join our growing team as a key member on the tools, both mentoring apprentices and assisting foremen, in order to help build state-of-the-art projects for our clients.
Requirements
- Journeyperson Electrician ticket (Red Seal an asset)
- Experience working on high rise and/or commercial new construction projects
- Good knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and local requirements
- Excellent communication and time management skills

Responsibilities
- Installing electrical equipment based on blueprints and in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code specifications
- Connecting wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment
- Terminating wiring in generators, transfer switches, and junction devices
- Observing functions of installed equipment to detect hazards and the need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement
- Testing continuity of circuits to ensure integrity and safety
