The Electrical Journeyman – Industrial is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems on industrial construction projects while ensuring quality, safety, and productivity. Reporting to the Field Foreman, this role also mentors apprentices, plans and organizes daily work, manages materials, and helps ensure projects are completed efficiently. Candidates with experience in water and wastewater treatment facilities are strongly preferred. The position requires a strong commitment to safety, craftsmanship, and teamwork across a variety of industrial and commercial projects.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Current Texas State electrical journeyman license
  • Minimum 4 years documented field work or completing of 4-year electrical apprentice program
  • Excellent understanding of the electrical industry
  • Willing to travel to a variety of job sites within a 50-mile radius.

Responsibilities

  • Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems on industrial construction projects.
  • Ensuring quality, safety, and productivity.
  • Mentoring apprentices.
  • Planning and organizing daily work.
  • Managing materials.
  • Helping ensure projects are completed efficiently.
  • Supervising a Journeyman and crew up to 6 employees.
  • Providing leadership.
  • Producing high quality electrical workmanship.
  • Traveling to a variety of job sites within a 50-mile radius.
