About The Position

The Electrical Integration Engineer is responsible for the design, integration, testing, and validation of electrical systems incorporated into ASC's power generation and enclosure products. This role serves as a technical expert for electrical design standards, control systems integration, power distribution equipment, and electrical installation practices while ensuring compliance with customer specifications and applicable electrical codes. The Electrical Integration Engineer works closely with Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, and Project Management teams to deliver technically sound solutions that meet customer requirements, support production efficiency, and maintain ASC's commitment to quality and operational excellence. Success in this role will be measured through project execution, product quality, engineering accuracy, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement of ASC's electrical integration processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the design, integration, installation, or testing of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and control system documentation.
  • Proficiency with electrical test equipment including multimeters, clamp meters, and functional testing instruments.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform electrical troubleshooting, equipment testing, and system validation activities.
  • Strong working knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems, electrical theory, and power distribution principles.
  • Experience designing, building, and troubleshooting control panels and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Understanding of power generation systems including generators, transformers, controllers, switchboards, circuit breakers, motors, heating systems, and associated electrical infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable industry standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation and training skills with the ability to transfer technical knowledge to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams while supporting multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership, training, and mentorship to electricians and production personnel on schematic interpretation, installation methods, testing procedures, and equipment labeling requirements.
  • Partner with Sales Engineers and Project Teams to review customer specifications, proposals, and electrical requirements to ensure compliance with applicable codes and project objectives.
  • Review and inspect completed electrical installations and integrated systems prior to shipment to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Identify and resolve electrical design discrepancies, specification conflicts, and integration issues prior to project completion and shipment.
  • Establish and maintain electrical design standards, component layouts, and integration best practices across ASC's product portfolio.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for electrical system integration, control wiring, power distribution, and enclosure electrical design.
  • Deliver hands-on technical guidance and training regarding safe work practices, electrical installation techniques, troubleshooting methods, and equipment operation.
  • Develop, implement, and manage cross-training programs that enhance electrical knowledge and technical capabilities across manufacturing and production teams.
  • Exercise sound engineering judgment in determining work priorities, technical solutions, and project execution strategies.
  • Perform electrical load calculations and standard engineering computations related to power distribution systems and equipment design.
  • Interpret wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, customer specifications, and electrical schematics to determine installation requirements and design approaches.
  • Develop and maintain electrical drawings, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, Bills of Material (BOMs), and equipment specifications.
  • Review third-party supplied equipment and electrical components to ensure compatibility with project requirements and system designs.
  • Coordinate with Production, Supply Chain, and Project Management teams to ensure the timely receipt and successful integration of customer-supplied and vendor-supplied equipment.
  • Support factory acceptance testing (FAT), startup activities, troubleshooting efforts, and customer issue resolution as required.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on electrical quality, design efficiency, standardization, and manufacturing support.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements, customer specifications, and industry best practices.
