Reporting to the Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor, this role is responsible for supporting safety efforts within the department and participating in programs and systems to promote a safety culture. The technician will install electrical equipment, instrumentation, and related components using provided drawings and manuals. This includes work on PLCs, DCS, MCCs, field instruments, control panels, valves, HVAC, lighting, UPS, transformers, motors, conduit, and cables. The role also involves overhauling, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on instrumentation and electrical equipment. Additionally, the technician is responsible for maintaining accurate records of work performed, time spent, and materials used, and for recommending and implementing improvements to lower costs, enhance equipment performance and reliability, and improve personnel safety. All maintenance practices must comply with State and Federal environmental regulations, and the technician must promptly comply with site quality system databases (CPAR, Customer Complaints, QSA, etc.). Adherence to site standards, policies, and procedures related to safety, industrial hygiene, security/CTPAT, and environmental compliance is essential.
