About The Position

INTECH Process Automation is seeking a skilled Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team. Key Responsibilities: Uses gauges and other test instruments to diagnose malfunctions, mechanic hand and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble system components. Manage and maintain instrument calibration documentation and CMMS database. Performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of instrument application, operation and of the electrical and mechanical principles involved in repair, testing and calibration. Maintenance and calibration of pressure and temperature instrumentation devices, electrical power distribution and monitoring devices, VFD drives and motor control. Performs preventive and predictive maintenance including calibration, using data collectors, testing and diagnostic tools, and computerized maintenance management systems. Investigate equipment failures, determine root cause of failure. Participate in the planning and execution of minor and major shutdowns. Assist in the development and ongoing improvement of the plant mechanical integrity program. Must be familiar with VFD structure and be able to determine causes of failure and be able to repair. Diagnose and correct problems associated with PLC's and electrical systems & control. Plans details of job assigned, uses sketches, blueprints schematics, and complex drawings. Improving plant reliability by developing control methodologies and implementing new technologies. Disassembles and examines malfunctioning instruments and test equipment accordingly. Calibrates and aligns instruments or test equipment according to established standards. Promote Best Practice and a proactive approach. Ensure good communication and cooperation between both field team and the Control Room.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Electromechanical and/or Instrumentation & Electrical.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Oil and Gas industry.
  • Working knowledge of DCS, PLC and the HMI.
  • Able to read and understand P&ID drawings, schematic drawings, control loop drawings, logic diagram and ladder diagram.
  • Must understand single-line diagrams, ladder logic, process, and instrument diagrams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with vendors, engineers, and other site personnel to design and modify equipment and systems that are appropriate to the specific needs of the facility and meet all CGMP, OSHA and NEC requirements (e.g., installations in high hazard classified areas, ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings).
  • Experience with MS Office suite (Excel, Word) with MS 365 package.
  • Proficient in the use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), preferably SAP.
  • Proficiency in English
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including clear communication, teamwork, respect for colleagues, and ability to collaborate effectively and work under pressure.
