About The Position

The Electrical & Instrumentation Superintendent is a leadership position responsible for overseeing electrical and instrumentation works in construction projects. This role involves the day-to-day management of the construction site, ensuring all field operations are executed safely and in line with company objectives and project specifications. Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience in the maintenance industry working with contractors with relevant work experience in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical & instrumentation systems.
  • Effectively provide overall supervision, coordination and scheduling of construction activities and consistently complete projects on time, on budget and to the client’s satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated competence in the areas of safety, workforce management, project execution, cost control, quality, and administration.
  • A strong leader and problem-solver, you are able to build and steward trust with clients, subcontractors, and team members to effect competitive excellence and pride in teamwork with outstanding project delivery.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with industrial and process mechanical, electrical and controls considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day site activities related to electrical and instrumentation works, ensuring that all tasks are completed according to project specifications and safety standards.
  • Coordinate and schedule electrical and instrumentation tradespeople, providing leadership and direction for all related tasks
  • Work in conjunction with the Project Execution team (Project Managers, Superintendents, Project Coordinators, etc.) and maintain consistent communication and reporting.
  • Interpret design requirements and technical drawings and ensure all E&I work adheres to industry standards
  • Assist in preparation and negotiation of mechanical and electrical subcontracts.
  • Implements and manages the Bird Safety Program; performs regular hazard analysis and toolbox meetings.
