About The Position

The Electrical & Instrumentation Planner is responsible for planning, coordinating, and scheduling electrical and instrumentation maintenance, repair, and project activities. The role ensures work is properly scoped, resourced, documented, and executed safely to maximize equipment reliability and plant productivity. This position is on call after hours and weekends as outlined by the Maintenance Front Line On-Call schedule calendar supporting area breakdowns and emergencies.

Requirements

  • Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent experience in Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics, or related field.
  • 3–7+ years of industrial maintenance, electrical, instrumentation, or planning experience.
  • Knowledge of electrical distribution systems
  • Knowledge of motors, drives, MCCs, and switchgear
  • Knowledge of PLCs, DCS, and process control systems
  • Knowledge of instrument calibration and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices
  • Experience with CMMS/SAP systems.
  • Ability to read P&IDs, electrical drawings, loop diagrams, and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and prepare preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance work for electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Develop detailed job plans, work packages, labor estimates, and schedules.
  • Review work requests, verify field requirements, and define job scope.
  • Identify and procure materials, spare parts, special tools, and contractor services required for execution.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with operations, maintenance supervisors, contractors, and engineering teams.
  • Maintain and update maintenance management systems (SAP, CMMS, or equivalent).
  • Support shutdowns, turnarounds, outages, and capital projects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze completed work and update job plans for continuous improvement.
