About The Position
This entry-level position offers a hybrid work arrangement, with three days in the office and two days remote. It provides an opportunity to utilize and expand electrical drafting skills within a multi-disciplined team environment. The role involves preparing design drawings based on input, applying computer-aided drafting skills, and receiving hands-on training in 3D design software like AutoCAD 3D and/or MicroStation, as well as Sargent & Lundy’s proprietary design databases. Responsibilities include creating master sketches showing the relation of proposed installations to existing facilities with exact specifications and dimensions. The role may involve accompanying experienced designers on walkdowns at client facilities to gather information and explaining drawings to vendors and construction contractors to facilitate design adjustments.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree with an emphasis in electrical drafting or a high school diploma and 1 or more years of drafting coursework or equivalent technical experience.
- Basic knowledge of standard computer drafting tools (i.e. AutoCAD or MicroStation).
- Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of the computer.
- Ability to multi-task from project to project.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
