Within the Telecommunications Department, as an Electrical, Instrumentation & Control (EIC) Specialist, you will be responsible for designing complete EIC solutions based on project scope definition for pre-sales and engineering. You will support project bidding and pre-sales activities, and prepare project documentation including bills of materials, calculations, data sheets, detailed drawings, specifications, technical reports, and test plans. You will coordinate tasks with engineers, designers, and administrative staff, and perform technical evaluations of bids to recommend the best-value design that meets client requirements for operability, reliability, maintainability, and safety. Additionally, you will develop technical proposals and entry criteria for suppliers and subcontractors, negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, and participate in safety reviews (i.e., HAZID, HAZOP). You will lead field work by evaluating installations and performing problem-solving activities, and conduct calculation checks and vendor drawing reviews. As a discipline lead on single and multi-discipline projects, you will estimate work hours, develop scopes of work, make recommendations, and check drawings. You will interact with other disciplines and suppliers to obtain pertinent information, manage the scope of project work, address scope and work changes, adjust project deliverables as necessary, and complete project work within budget and schedule. You will present project information to internal and external client audiences, monitor quality standards (ISO), and perform other responsibilities as directed.
