About The Position

This is a full-time, onsite position supporting one of the world's leading R&D equipment manufacturers in San Jose, CA. This role requires travel to customer locations throughout California as project needs require. As a Low Voltage Electrical Installer, you'll work onsite with a leading global R&D equipment manufacturer, installing gas detection systems, life safety controls, and low-voltage electrical systems that help keep people, facilities, and operations safe. From new installations to system upgrades, you'll deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, technical environment where your craftsmanship, attention to detail, and commitment to safety make a real impact every day.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience installing low-voltage electrical or controls systems.
  • Experience with conduit installation, pipe bending, wire pulling, and electrical terminations.
  • Experience installing or working within PLC control panels.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, installation manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems and life safety controls.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Equivalent combinations of education, technical training, and hands-on experience are welcome.

Responsibilities

  • Install gas detection systems, sensors, transmitters, duct mounts, PLC panels, battery backup systems, pull stations, horn/strobes, photohelic pressure switches, and other life safety devices.
  • Perform conduit installation, pipe bending, wire pulling, termination, and pre-wire electrical systems for new installations.
  • Pull, terminate, and test CAT6 and multi-conductor control wiring while ensuring quality workmanship and compliance with project specifications.
  • Install and work within PLC control panels while following established electrical safety practices.
  • Maintain accurate work records, follow installation manuals, and ensure all work meets customer specifications and applicable codes.
  • Adhere to company safety standards, legal regulations, and customer site requirements while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Work closely with project managers, technicians, and customer personnel to successfully complete installations on schedule.
