Electrical / I&C Engineering Intern - Year Round
About The Position
This is a paid, year-round internship supporting the designated organization with entry-level to more advanced technical assistance, based on assigned projects and the student’s skill level. The intern will be accountable to assigned department staff and will support project-related activities and initiatives. The selected applicant must be able to work onsite in Richland, Washington, and may be expected to work onsite year-round if business needs warrant it. The estimated start date is May/June 2027. The target hire designation depends on the knowledge level needed for the assigned duties and the student’s academic standing when the internship begins. Pay is based on academic level: Freshman and Sophomore $19.31 per hour; Junior $25.17 per hour; Senior $27.32 per hour.
Requirements
- Current part- to full-time enrollment in a bachelor’s or graduate degree program in a technical field related to the assigned role at an accredited college or university.
- Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 unless approved by Human Resources.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Able to work onsite in Richland, Washington; year-round onsite availability may be expected if business needs warrant it.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and throughout employment; employment visa sponsorship is not provided.
Responsibilities
- Support assigned routine department activities.
- Support technical project-related activities within the department.
- Support emergent related work or assignments.
