Electrical Helper - Construction/Installations (CRYSTAL RIVER, FL AREA)
About The Position
SPATCO Energy Solutions is an industry leader providing comprehensive energy solutions since 1935. Our construction and installation teams build fueling and charging stations for retail, commercial, industrial, and government sectors. We also provide routine and heavy maintenance, ensuring environmental compliance. We offer a full spectrum of services including equipment, parts, expertise, and support, facilitated by our in-house training programs. This Electrical Helper position is part of a team working on various construction jobs, with potential for out-of-town travel. The role offers eligibility for in-house training programs to advance understanding of the construction and electrical industry.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 2 to 3 years working as an apprentice with an electrical company, no journeyman card needed
- Knowledge of Electrician standards & codes required
- Detail oriented
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lift 75 –100 lbs when necessary during the course of performing their necessary duties.
- Work outside in all types of weather.
- Work under time constraints efficiently and have the ability to work well with others.
- Follow all company procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the assembly, installation, maintenance and testing of electrical equipment and fixtures used in the petroleum industry.
- Install conduits, pull wire and make final connections to circuit breakers, petroleum pumps, dispensers, Point of Sale consoles, tank monitors and petroleum lighting.
- Inspect electrical system and components to verify compliance with safety requirements, codes, project specifications and manufacturer requirements.
- Verify proper operation of the electrical system.
- Advise management, customers and employees when hazards are present and when electrical systems are safe to operate.
- Assist estimator with material take-off, material cost and labor allowances.
