Position Summary As a successful Apprentice Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, learning, and understanding the electrical trade. You will work under the guidance of a Journeyman and Master Electrician assisting in the installation, alteration, and/or repair of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials and equipment within the commercial and industrial electrical industry. This is a safety sensitive position.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Must obtain and renew annually a State approved Electrical Apprentice License (must be licensed in TX).
• Must have valid Driver's License and own reliable transportation.
• Must meet attendance standards and comply with late/absence notification procedures.
• Must be able to pass drug and background check.
• Travel up to 15% may be required based on company needs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assembly, installation, maintenance and testing of electrical equipment and wiring systems in a commercial and industrial setting.
• Prepares work area for installation of equipment.
• Installs or helps install electrical components.
• Connects wiring and equipment as per code and job specification.
• Keeps all materials, tools, and equipment in an orderly and properly working fashion and the work area clean and organized at all times.
• Demonstrates safe work habits and proper care of tools and equipment.
• Assists in wire pulls, mounting, and strapping.
• Understands and complies with safety requirements at all times.
• Produces quality of work that meets or exceeds National Electrical Code requirements and Company standards.
• Maintains a positive attitude towards completing job while complying with all Company policies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective processes, completion of projects and smooth operation of department.
