About The Position

The marine industry supports recreation, global commerce, and national defense. Arc is on a mission to electrify the marine industry by rethinking powertrains, software, and vessel designs. The company has developed and hardened its core technology, is scaling production of its flagship model, and is extending its platform to commercial applications with signed contracts and a strong pipeline. The marine industry is going electric, and Arc is building the platform that powers it. This role is for a summer intern to join the Electrical Engineering team from June 14th to August 20th, 2027, working at the headquarters in Torrance, CA. The environment is fast-moving and dynamic, requiring adaptability.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Targeting graduation in Summer 2028 or earlier.
  • Strong electrical engineering fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with circuit design and simulation tools (e.g., Altium, KiCad, LTspice, or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with electronics testing tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic setting.
  • Ability to effectively communicate progress and status of your work.

  • Experience with one or more of the following:
  • A track record of successful internships
  • Enthusiasm for boating and clean energy
  • Comfortable pushing a fast but sustainable pace

Responsibilities

  • Supporting schematic capture, PCB layout, and design documentation for new and existing hardware.
  • Testing and validating electrical assemblies through bench bring-up, measurements, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborating with engineers to prototype, debug, and iterate on circuit designs and system integrations.
