About The Position

You will have the opportunity to be involved during all program phases, including requirements analysis, schematic capture, defining routing constraints, directing PCB/PWB layout and routing activities, and finally support the manufacturing, integration & test, and qualification of the hardware system. You will work with both internal and external stakeholders and customers to develop systems that meets their high expectations. You will primarily support the Airborne Systems business area developing mission computers, sensor processors, and stores management hardware, with opportunities to work across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • US Citizenship and residency
  • Ability to persevere through design challenges with minimal direction
  • Exceptional communication skills with the capacity to drive innovation and secure buy-in on your concepts and ideas

Nice To Haves

  • Designing electrical hardware using the Siemens/Mentor Graphics Xpedition tool suite
  • High-speed and high-density circuit card design incorporating embedded processors or FPGAs, designs using fiber optic interfaces
  • Advance working knowledge of lab equipment including oscilloscopes and Ethernet network testers.
  • Understanding of the hardware development process throughout the lifecycle of a program
  • Experience with circuit card designs, including using advanced materials, packaging techniques, and high speed interfaces
  • Advanced knowledge of the Siemens/Mentor Graphics Xpedition tools suite for schematic entry, constraint manager, and HyperLynx Signa Integrity/Power Integrity analysis
  • Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation
