About The Position

The Electrical General Foreman is responsible for ensuring the safety of team members and customers, managing staff to achieve project deadlines, quality, and budget, and maximizing customer satisfaction. This role involves working closely with customers and the team to ensure project success and team effectiveness through efficient scheduling and focus on high-quality delivery.

Requirements

  • Proficient computer skills, MS office, PlanGrid, DocuSign, Electronic scheduling.
  • Good command of the English language - verbal and written.
  • Good trade & NEC knowledge.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Team player with good customer and people skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints and other technical materials, both hard copy and electronic.
  • Ability to use and train hand tools and power tools proficiently.
  • Proficient in the use and training of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient training & bending conduit ½” – 2”.
  • Skilled and proficient at training & running conduit ½” – 4”.
  • Able to inspect and couch the setting of switchgear, panels & other distribution equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 5 years of commercial electrical experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety of team members and customers by making safety a priority, identifying and addressing safety violations and hazardous conditions, and maintaining a clean jobsite.
  • Manage staff to achieve project budget by collaborating on predesign for correct installations, coaching material orders, reviewing completed tasks against production rates and schedules, supporting submittal packages, and participating in pre-construction meetings.
  • Manage staff to achieve project quality control and assurance by ensuring installations follow standards, utilizing prefab, evaluating foreman skill sets, developing installation crews, and verifying tracking of requirements for quality, timeliness, and code.
  • Maximize customer satisfaction and project deadlines by identifying general contractors’ major tasks for the next week, reviewing crew and sub crew lists, ensuring foreman understanding and utilization of processes, reviewing schedules with contractors and trades, advising of conflicts, supporting prefab utilization, coaching the RFI process, and maintaining positive relationships with inspectors, clients, and employees.
  • Maximize team efficiency by clarifying directives, auditing foreman processes, identifying and relaying suggested changes for improvement, completing continuing education related to leadership, and coaching foreman on leadership qualities.
  • Timely submission of misc. paperwork to Administrative team members.
  • Coordination with HR on items related to crew members on site.
  • Other duties as assigned.
