About The Position

The Electrical General Foreman is responsible for planning, supervising, training, troubleshooting, ensuring safety, quality control, scheduling, cost estimating, and compliance with codes and contract documents for electrical projects. This role involves creating wiring diagrams, managing electricians, teaching safety protocols, diagnosing issues, ensuring proper use of safety equipment, monitoring work quality, coordinating schedules, providing cost estimates, and ensuring all work meets required standards and regulations.

Requirements

Experience in electrical work
Knowledge of safety protocols
Troubleshooting skills
Ability to read and create wiring diagrams
Understanding of electrical codes and contract documents

Responsibilities

Create wiring diagrams, conduit systems, and electrical panel locations
Manage the day-to-day work of electricians, apprentices, and journeymen
Teach electricians about safety protocols and job skills
Diagnose electrical issues and perform repairs
Ensure that safety equipment, materials, and tools are available and used properly
Monitor the work of electricians to ensure it meets standards
Coordinate schedules with subcontractors and other departments
Provide cost estimates and projections for electrical projects
Ensure work meets codes and contract documents
