Requirements

Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
Excellent organizational, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Attention to detail and accuracy in estimating.

Nice To Haves

An Electrical Journeyperson ticket is considered an asset.
Accubid experience is considered an asset.
Certification in estimating (optional but preferred).

Responsibilities

Analyze project requirements, specifications, and drawings to understand the scope of work.
Estimate the cost of materials, labour, equipment, and other expenses required for project execution.
Prepare detailed and accurate bids using Accubid for projects, ensuring all costs are accounted for and competitive.
Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain quotes and negotiate pricing.
Identify potential risks and uncertainties in project estimation and develop mitigation strategies.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of estimates, bids, and project specifications.
Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, address concerns, and provide clarification on estimates and bids.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure alignment on project requirements and budgets.
Ensure that all estimates and bids are accurately and on time, meeting client deadlines.
Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.
Attend internal meetings such as Operations, Safety, and Sales.
