About The Position

We are MARS Energy Solutions, an alternative energy company seeking organized, motivated, and task-oriented team players to join our growing team. We value customer service, respect, and hard work. As an Electrical Estimator, with an emphasis in solar, battery storage, and electric vehicle charging stations, you will play a vital role in our development, project management, and estimation processes. You will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, preparing bids, and assisting in managing project coordination to ensure smooth execution. Your expertise in electrical systems, project planning, and cost estimation will contribute to the successful completion of projects on time and within budget. This position allows for remote work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in the electrical industry, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards.
  • Demonstrated Knowledge of Prevailing Wage requirements
  • Proficiency in electrical estimation software and tools while utilizing standard cost estimation methods.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address project challenges effectively.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Must complete background & MVR check with acceptable results.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze RFP’s, project specifications, drawings, and blueprints to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes for materials and services required for the project.
  • Utilize estimation software and tools to streamline the bidding process and ensure precision in cost calculations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field staff to plan and execute electrical projects.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative solutions to improve project profitability.
  • Prepare comprehensive and competitive bid proposals for electrical projects.
  • Coordinate bid submissions and follow-up with clients to address any inquiries.
  • Participate in RFP and potential customer job walks when required.
  • Occasional travel to job sites for site walks and to company offices for meetings. (10% travel)
