Requirements

Associate degree, technical diploma, trade school training, or equivalent experience in electrical technology, electronics, mechatronics, industrial electricity, or a related field.
Experience building, assembling, modifying, or testing wire harnesses, electrical systems, control panels, or related assemblies.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, harness drawings, and engineering prints.
Understanding of basic electrical theory including voltage, current, resistance, continuity, and circuit operation.
Experience using electrical testing equipment and basic computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and a proactive approach to problem solving and supporting engineering projects.

Responsibilities

Build prototype wire harnesses from engineering documentation, including wire cutting, termination, connector installation, and light soldering activities.
Assemble and install electrical systems and components used in prototype and pre-production product builds.
Partner closely with engineers to diagnose wiring, connection, and component-related issues during product development.
Perform hands-on electrical testing and diagnostics using multimeters, continuity testers, power supplies, and related equipment.
Manage inventory of prototype electrical components and materials to ensure engineers have the parts needed to support development programs.
Support implementation of 5S and Kanban initiatives to improve organization, material availability, and overall readiness of the electrical engineering workspace.
