About The Position

ASR International is seeking an on-site Engineering Technician with a strong Electrical background to support construction projects at Dyess AFB. This position provides hands-on technical support for FSRM projects and building systems. About ASR: ASR supports government construction projects nationwide, from launch pads for NASA to renovations at the White House to Submarine Dry Docks in Pearl Harbor, ASR serves as an owner's representative on critical and high-profile projects providing construction management, engineering, inspection, project controls and safety services for a variety of DoD and federal government agencies.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of thoroughly documented and relevant Engineering Technician experience in construction, facilities, or project support.
  • Extensive background in Electrical systems: Building Code requirements, equipment troubleshooting, diagnostics, and evaluation.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and lead others in studies, designs, and construction projects; record and manage processes/documentation; and negotiate effectively with management on proposals involving substantial resources or changes.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to negotiate complex issues and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint) and databases/project tracking tools.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to safely operate a vehicle on Dyess AFB (paved and gravel roads).
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must consent to and successfully complete LEADS background check, obtain DoD Confidential clearance and CAC, and have legal authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior DoD/Air Force civil engineering or FSRM project experience.
  • Familiarity with IBC, NEC, NFPA, UFC, and related standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site technical and administrative support to 7 CES leadership and flights for FSRM project development, design support, execution, and documentation.
  • Assist with plans/specifications, programming documents, cost estimates, technical reviews, project tracking, database management, and deliverable coordination.
  • Deliver Electrical-specific expertise: equipment troubleshooting, diagnostics, evaluation, minor repairs, building automation/controls, and material requisitioning while ensuring compliance with building codes and standards.
  • Support QA/QC of AE designs, data analysis, technical research, regulatory compliance reviews, and identification/resolution of project data gaps.
  • Participate in technical meetings, liaison activities with USACE, MAJCOM, and other stakeholders, conference support, and documentation of processes/records.
  • Contribute to Project Status Reports and ensure performance meets all PWS quality, schedule, and customer service thresholds.
  • Maintain continuity of operations and support training/transition requirements as directed by the Government.
